Mary Nelle Beckler Carroll, 86, of Cocoa, FL formerly of the Copper Basin went home peacefully to be with her Lord on December 4, 2017, surrounded by her family. Mary Nelle was born on May 3, 1931, in Copperhill, TN to Sam and Nelle Beckler.
She is predeceased in death by her husbands John Greene, Clarence Vereen, Garnet Craig and Robert Carroll; her brothers Don, Ray, Lee and her sister Betty.
She dedicated herself to teaching for 32 years in the Fannin County, GA and Brevard County, FL school system. After her retirement, she built her dream cabin back in her hometown of Copperhill. She enjoyed spending time traveling back and forth from her home in Cocoa to her cabin. She enjoyed many days there in the mountains and was a gracious hostess to many of us there. She enjoyed life, the outdoors and she was always up for a good adventure. She is best known for her love for Jesus and her unconditional love, concern and gracious giving to others.
She was a member of ADK Sorority, Daughters of the American Revolution, Cocoa/Rockledge Garden Club and a volunteer with Wuesthoff Hospital as a Pink Lady.
She was a loving mother to her son, Mark Greene (Nancy) and her daughter, Sherry Loadholtz (Tex). She adored all her grandchildren; Breanna, Tony, Troy, Ian, Hanna, Cole, Chris, Jacob, Josh. 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She loved her church and was a faithful member since 1959 of King Street Baptist Church in Cocoa. A visitation of friends and family will be held at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Saturday, December 16, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Matthew McDaniel and Rev. Keith Wrenn officiating. She will be laid to rest following the service in her family plot at Crest Lawn Cemetery.
