Mary Martinez

Mrs. Mary Delores Martinez, age 64 of Blairsville, GA, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Union General Hospital. Mrs. Martinez was born Saturday, September 12, 1942 in Moultrie, GA to the late Clyde Burdett and Mary Wimberly Burdett. Mrs. Martinez was a member of Choestoe Bpatist Church and was also active in the Womens Missionary Union, She was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Burdett.

Survivors include: husband, Buck Martinez, of Blairsville, GA, mother, Mary Burdett of East Point, GA, sons, Johnny Allen of Douglasville, GA, and Kevin Allen of Douglasville, GA, daughter, Velisa Allen of Douglasville, GA, brothers, Larry Burdett of Whitesburg, GA, and Neal Burdett of Atlanta, GA, granddaughters, Megan Mooney, Brittney Allen and LeAnn Allen and grandsons, Grant Mooney, Stephen Allen, Thomas Allen and Alexander Allen.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Zollinger and Rev. Darwin A. Caldwell officiating. Music will be provided by Rev. Darwin A. Caldwell. Interment will follow in Choestoe Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Friday, April 6.
