Mary Kathleen Davenport

Mrs. Mary Kathleen Davenport, age 92 of McCaysville, passed away August 26, 2015 at Haywood Medical Center. Mrs. Davenport was born August 31, 1922 in McCaysville, GA to the late James P. Godfrey and the late Linda Gibson Godfrey. A member of McCaysville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Leland Davenport, parents James P. Godfrey and Linda Gibson Godfrey, son, Ronnie Davenport, brothers J P Godfrey, Jr. and Jack Ross Godfrey, sisters, Lucille Godfrey Spivey and Patsy Ruth Godfrey.

Survivors include: sons, James "Randall" (Sharlene) Davenport, Robert "Danny" Davenport (Charla), Joey (Linda) Davenport, daughter, Robin Davenport, daughter-in-law, Sharon Davenport, special children, Lynda & Bill Bowling, Rick & Karen Posey, Jane & Al Parrot, Jack & Kelly Godfrey, Joan & Jimmy Clark, Judy McClough, grandchildren: Greg (Angie) Davenport, David Davenport, Matt (Deneshia) Davenport, Andrew Davenport, Leanne (Tony) Pate, Randi (Andy) Parker, Ashley (Burch) Glover, Kristy (Denny) Durick, Dana Davenport, great-grandchildren: Jackson, Hala and Madelaine Kate Davenport, Ellie Ruth, Kate Marie and Ryan Cameron Davenport, Hunter, Austin Trey and Clay Pate, Kelsey and Kerry Anne Durick, Darrian Mace and Ginny Glover, special friends, Page Cargill, Maxine Fuller, Lila Taylor, Mary Cannon, Dorothy Griggs, Ramona Seabolt and special friend, Omega Houston.

Funeral services: Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Earl Russell and Terry Reamsnyder officiating. Music provided by: Ramona Seabolt and McCaysville Methodist Choir. Interment will follow in Kingtown Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Greg, Matt, David and Andrew Davenport, Denny Durick, Birch Glover, Tony Pate and Andy Parker. Honorary pallbearers: McCaysville Methodist Congregation.
