Mary Jane Winfrey

Mary Jane Bridges Winfrey, age 74 of Andrews, passed away Tuesday evening April 3, 2018, at Murphy Medical Center. Mrs. Winfrey was born July 7, 1943, in Robbinsville, NC to the late Dexter Willie Bridges and Bernette Carver Bridges. She was a member of Red Marble Baptist Church she enjoyed Yard Work and crossword puzzles. Mary was preceded in death by father, Dexter Willie Bridges, and husband, Johnny Winfrey.

Survivors include mother, Bernette Bridges, son, Robert (Debbie) Winfrey, daughter, Barbara (Scotty) Cope, sisters, Virginia Brown, Shirley Stiles, Clarice Self, and Jo Winfrey, brother, Richard Bridges, grandchildren, Dalton, and Dylan Cope.

Funeral services: Friday, April 6, 2018, at 11:00 am at the Red Marble Baptist Church with pastor Darren Self officiating. Music provided by Eddie West. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers: Dalton and Scotty Cope, Richie and Alex Bridges, Terry Postell, and Adam Cook.

The family will receive friends at the Red Marble Baptist Church of Andrews, Thursday, April 5, 2018, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
