Mary Ellen Berger

Mary Ellen Berger, age 88 of Morganton, GA passed away Monday, February 21, 2022, at her home. Mrs. Berger was born November 23, 193,3 in Noble, IL to the late Lester Street and the late Leona DeBoard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Berger; sister, Lila Kokoris, step-mother, Cleora Street, and step-father, Paul DeBorard. She was a member of The Ridge Community Church where she and her husband faithfully served for several years as greeters. Mary was devoted to God's service, to her husband of almost 70 years, to her family, and she loved all people and most of all strived to be an encourager to everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include: sons, Dr. Denny (Penny) Berger and Mike (Ginger) Berger; daughter, Paula Berger King; family friend, Stacy Bossey; grandchildren, Jeremy (April) Berger, Heather (Greg) Bruner, Chelsea (Michael)Vermeesch, Ian (Alex) Berger, Tori Berger, Daniel King, and Carey (Julia) Bossey; great-grandchildren, Alessia Berger, Ryanna Berger, Jace Berger, Emma Bruner, Tyler Bruner, Eva Bruner, Hannah Vermeesch, Hadley Vermeesch, and Avery Berger.

A memorial service for Mary Berger will be held in conjunction with her beloved husband Paul Berger on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at 1:00 pm at The Ridge Community Church with Pastor Chan Mitchell presiding.

The family of Paul and Mary Berger will be receiving friends at The Ridge Community Church on Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 12:30 pm to the 1 pm celebration of life service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
