Marvin Swancey

Marvin (Tommy) Swancey of Mineral Bluff, GA peacefully passed away on February 16, 2024.

He was born in Gwinnett County, GA on June 30, 1948. He grew up on his parent’s farm in Buford, GA and graduated from Dacula High School. He worked for 31 years at Dolco Packaging in Lawrenceville, GA before retiring early to take care of his father in 2000.

He is preceded in death by his parents, GC and Dot Swancey and sister-in-law Debbie Swancey.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Joan Swancey; daughters, Jeannie (Shane) Harrison, Brandy Smallwood, Jill Clay, Glenda McKinzie; sons Dwayne Bennett and Jason (Darlene) Swancey; granddaughters Brittany (Allen) Kirk, Casey Bennett, Adrienne (Phillip) Robinson, Angela (Stephen) Miller, Suzanne (Conor) Powers, Jessica Beauchamp; grandsons JD (Madison) Grant, Trevor Smallwood, Chris Swancey, Austin Bennett; great-grandchildren, Kamryn, Riley Claire, Josie, Beau, Logan, Riley, Emery; brothers Ricky (Donna) Swancey, Gene (Paula) Swancey, David Swancey; several nieces and nephews.
