Marvin Lynn "Marty" McCoy, age 41, of Murphy, passed away Friday, April 20, 2007 at following an auto accident. Marty was born Monday, September 6, 1965 in Muscogee Co. Ga. to the late Richard McCoy and Mary Gibby McCoy. He was of the Baptist faith enjoyed fishing, He was preceded in death by his father, Richard McCoy.
Survivors include: son, Dustin Lynn McCoy, mother, Mary Gibby McCoy of Murphy, brother, John Wayne McCoy of Jasper, Ga., brother, James Rick McCoy of Murphy, sister, Soundra Blevins of Murphy, brother, Teddy Lee McCoy of Murphy, nieces & nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 23, 2007 at 2:00PM from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mitchell Totherow and Rev. David Byrd officiating. Interment followed in the Greenlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joey Blevins, J.R. Crowe,
Tim Chastain, David Powell, Perry Hughes and Keith Owenby. Honorary Pallbearers, Richie McCoy, Jeremy McCoy and Micah McCoy.
