Marshall S. Williams

Marshall Stephen Williams, age 82, of Mineral Bluff, Georgia, passed away on December 13, 2023, at Union General Hospital in Blairsville, Georgia, following an extended illness.

Born on July 13, 1941, in Atlanta, Georgia, he was a generous donor to many charitable organizations including the Georgia Sheriff's Youth Homes. He had a passion for animals and was often seen walking his beloved Tibetan Mastiffs Khan, Bonny, and Choctaw, in the park and around the town of Blue Ridge.

Marshall had a distinguished career in the ready mix concrete industry, serving as Vice President of Technical Services at Williams Bros. Concrete in Atlanta. Throughout his career, he actively participated in various industry-related organizations, including the American Concrete Institute and the American Society for Testing Materials.

Marshall was a U.S. Army veteran and earned degrees from the University of Georgia and Emory University School of Law.

Marshall is survived by his wife of 38 years, Teri; his son Curt, daughter-in-love Sarah, and granddaughters Violet and Daisy Williams of Suches, GA; brother Don Williams (Denese) of Cumming, GA; and sister Rebecca Williams (Marilou) of Kauai, HI. He was preceded in death by his father Horace R. Williams, mother Evelyn Wheeler Williams and brother Chip Williams.

A celebration of Marshall's life will be held at a later date.
