Marjorie Alva Wood

Marjorie Alva Wood, 86, of Blairsville, GA passed away on May 12th, 2024. She was born in Atlanta on September 15th, 1937 to the late Alvin and Bernice Wood.

She was loved by many, and the memories she created will forever hold a place in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she never had children of her own, she had many "children" in her years as an Atlanta Recreational Director.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Bernice Wood and her sister, Charlene Anderson.

Marjorie will be deeply missed by her surviving niece, Debbie May; her nephew Stacy Anderson; as well as numerous friends and extended family members.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024, from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at Cochran Funeral Home in Blairsville, GA.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Powell officiating.

Interment will be at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta (no graveside service).

Marjorie's presence brought joy to many hearts, and her memory will continue to live on in the lives of all who knew her. We grieve for our loss, but certainly not for her, since she is now with her Savior and Lord.
