The Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville announces Funeral Services for Mrs. Marjorie Barrett Chambers, age 73 of Blairsville, who passed away on January 10, 2017 at Union General Hospital.
Mrs. Chambers was born March 26, 1943 in Bel Aire, OH to the late Donald & Florence (Barrett) Gill. Margie enjoyed spending time with her family. She liked to deer hunt, and she enjoyed fishing as well. She loved to sing, and loved working in the yard. Margie would often surprise people by doing little things to help them. She would look for people in need and then do whatever she could to make life a little easier for them.
Margie was rock solid in her faith. She never gave up on anyone that she was led to be in prayer for. Her faith in God, and her non-judgmental spirit were a blessing to many. She was eager to show people the love of God. While she had a gentle and meek spirit, she was a warrior when it came to prayer. She was truly a Proverbs 31 woman. We were blessed to have her in our lives.
She will be warmly remembered by all who knew her, but especially missed by her family: husband, Julius Kermit Chambers; son, Kirk Chambers; son & daughter-in-law, Doug & Tonya Chambers; daughter & son-in-law, Angie & Aaron Dills; and sisters, Shirley White and Susie Black. Four grandchildren also share in her legacy: Payton Chambers, Laken Chambers, Owen Chambers, and Kade Dills.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville with Rev. Brent Chatham officiating. Music will be provided by Kevin Goodwin and Crystal Clinton. Interment will follow in Union Memory Gardens Cemetery. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as Pallbearers: Dean Everett, Stacy Chambers, Aaron Dills, Kade Dills, Payton Chambers, and Owen Chambers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m.
