Marion Junior Weeks

Mr. Marion Junior Weeks, age 79 of Blue Ridge, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at his home. Mr. Weeks was born February 11, 1934 in Gilmer Co., GA to the late Kell Weeks and the late Lola Cochran Weeks. A member of the McCaysville Church of Christ, he was preceded in death by son, Michael Weeks, sister, Gladys Carmichael, sister, Katherine Hampton, and sister, Vickie Conner. Junior enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He also liked woodworking and keeping a garden.

Survivors include wife, Lois Long Weeks, daughter, Mary Harper, brother, Otis Weeks, sister, Pearl Mae Sluder, sister, Ann Mason, granddaughter, Marcy (Stephen) Cain, and grandson, Cory Harper. Also several nieces and nephews survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 6, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Minister Bill Johnston and Minister Keith Ritchie officiating. Music provided by the church choir. Interment will follow in the Stanley Church of Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers include Stephen Cain, Cory Harper, Don Dilbeck, Ken Johnson, Brandon Jones and Jerry Williams .

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the McCaysville Church of Christ Building Fund.
