Marianne Mustee

Marianne Mustee, 64, of Fort Myers Florida and Blairsville Georgia, passed away suddenly but peacefully, Monday May 23rd 2022 in Blairsville Georgia where she wanted to be. Her battle with medical issues throughout the years showed her courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, she came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. Marianne was born September 5th, 1957 in Cincinnati Ohio to John Cookendorfer and Elnora Simentle Cookendorfer.

Marianne was blessed with an amazing daughter, family and friends that loved her dearly. Marianne loved everything Harley Davidson and Motorcycles, that was her passion. As an adult Marianne went to school to become one of the first female motorcycle mechanics in Fort Myers. She enjoyed showing the men "how is was done". She worked for the local Harley Davidson and loved her job. Later in life she became disabled, but that never slowed her down. Marianne and her husband Alan would ride together all the time and now are riding together in heaven. She loved to dance and she loved music; all of it; everything from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Garth Brooks to Lil' Wayne. Marianne loved everything scary; movies, books, especially Steven King (that's how she earned the nickname Scary). She had a passion for high heels and killer boots that would go up to her knees. She loved reading books, staying up late, and watching house wives. She loved all the animals she ever owned like her children and her family was everything to her.

The cabin in Georgia was a dream for Marianne and Alan that came true. They would escape as often as they could. Eventually they retired in Georgia until the unexpected passing of her husband. Marianne has amazing friends that became family to her in Georgia. She loved going there to visit them and the mountains. Her favorite pass time was to watch the deer on the front porch as they come up close to feed. She continued to visit as often as she could. She dreamed of living in Georgia full time.

Marianne was a strong, loving, generous and caring woman. Her wit was razor sharp and she was known to say the most shocking thing she could think of, in hopes of helping you see a new perspective. She made everyone laugh with her outrageous and exaggerated facial expressions, and all her silly sayings. She was kind and compassionate. Even when she spoke in anger, she was often the first to apologize and to try to heal what was broken. She believed a person had their own right to choose the life they wanted to live. She struggled with the concept of tough love and was fiercely independent and private. She loved her entire family, despite their quirks and disfunction. She worried about them, rooted for them, protected them, forgave them, and always kept on loving them. Marianne was strong willed and hard headed to say the least. That's what made her such a beautiful soul. Her hugs, kisses, smile, and beautiful face will forever be missed. Marianne will be desperately missed by all those that she's left behind. Our hearts are so broken by this unexpected loss. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.

Marianne is survived by her Daughter - Mandy (CJ) McCoy; Sister - Juanita (Charles) Woods & family; Brother - Mike Cookendorfer & family; Granddaughter - Shianne (Jaymie) Jones; Grandson - Clayton (Dee Dee) McCoy; Granddaughter - Kaitlin (Shane) Wilkie; Grandson - Morgan McCoy;

Great-Grandson - Levi Jax Jones; Great-Granddaughter - Emma Jae McCoy; Great-Grandchild - Baby McCoy Coming Soon 💙;

Great Niece - Summer Sampson. Nieces and Nephews & extended family. And last but not least, her sidekicks as she called them Carla Engle & Robert (Bob) Marsch.

Marianne was preceded in death by her father & mother - John & Elnora Cookendorfer; Husband - Alan Mustee; Brother - John Cookendorfer, Sister - Margaret Lofty, Grandson Levi Jarrett & Best-Friend - Joyce Williams.

Because Marianne celebrated life, no formal funeral service is being planned, instead, she will be honored with a Celebration of Life in Florida that will take place July 23rd, 2022, please contact her daughter Mandy for more information.
