Margaret Ledford

Mrs. Margaret Ledford,65, of Hiawassee Georgia passed away in her home Friday May 13th, 2022. She was born on June 17th 1956 at home in a small house on Owl Creek to Miles and Delia Taylor.

 

Margaret was a woman if you got the pleasure to meet her you would not soon forget her. She never met a stranger. She always made sure if you came to visit that she sent you home with something. She loved to crochet and made many friends and family blankets or dish clothes over the years. She was not only a wonderful mother but was a Mamaw to two grandchildren who were her world. 

 

She is preceded in death by her spouse of 35 years, Don Ledford; father, Miles Taylor; mother, Delia Taylor and many brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter Brooke(Ethan) Petty;sister Violet Brown;brother Michael(Becky) Taylor;sister, Cathy Oakley; sister Sadie(Timmy) Sullens; granddaughter, Olivia Petty;grandson, Owen Petty; sister-in-law, Tammy Taylor; sister-in-law Joan Taylor; sister-in-law Wanda Taylor. 

 

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday May 17th, 2022 at 2:00pm at Cochran Funeral Home Hiawassee Chapel with Timmy Sullens and Timothy Sullens officiating. Music will be provided by Sadie Sullens, Michael and Becky Taylor, Logan Sosebee and Andrew Devane. 

 

The Burial service will take place at Old Brasstown Baptist Church in Young Harris, Georgia.

 

The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Jesse Taylor, Caleb Taylor, Josh Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Michael Neace and Emmanuel Neace.  

 

The family will receive friends at Cochran Funeral Home Hiawassee Chapel on Monday May 16th, 2022 from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
