Marcella Rogers Underwood

Mrs. Marcella Rogers Underwood, age 62, of Blairsville, GA, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 18, 2019. Mrs. Underwood was born on February 16, 1957, in Hiawassee, GA, to the late Woodrow Rogers and Norene Thomas Rogers Stover. A devout member of New Harmony Baptist Church, Marcella loved her family deeply. She could only be described as the best nana, mom, wife, sister and friend to all who new her. She goes on now to be with her parents Woodrow & Norene Thomas Rogers, and her brother Rex Rogers, as well as, two infant grandchildren.

She will be remembered by all who knew her, but especially missed by her loving husband of 44 years, Dale Underwood; children, Chad Underwood (Amy), Amanda Adams (William Wayne) and Ashley Ford (Lucas); sister, Caroline Mull; brother, Gary Rogers. Also sharing in her legacy are her grandchildren; Noah, Eli, Lily, Jonah, Cooper, Sydney, Bella and Rhett, as well as, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Monday, April 22nd, 2019, to be held at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will meet with friends on Sunday, April 21st, at the funeral home between the hours of 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Flowers are being accepted; however, if you wish, memorials may be made in the fight against breast cancer, charity of your choice.
