Luther Martin Dillard

Mr. Luther Martin (Marty) Dillard Jr., age 61 of Blue Ridge, passed away Monday, April 27, 2015 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Marty was born December 14, 1953 in Copperhill, TN to the late Luther M. Dillard, Sr. and the late Ruth Ann Jones Dillard. A member of Williamstown United Methodist Church, he loved to hunt and fish in his spare time. Marty was a friendly person, he never met a stranger. He enjoyed visiting with his family and friends and he enjoyed making new friends.

Survivors include loving wife, Cynthia Adair Dillard, three sisters, Vicki Dillard, Terri Dillard Branham (Edward), and TC Dillard, one brother, George Dillard (Melinda), nieces and nephews, Ann Branham Caldwell (Josh), Tyler Dillard (Caroline), Beth Branham Godfrey (Kyle), Drew Dillard, David Thornton and Luke Thornton, one great-nephew, Ezekiel Caldwell. Also surviving is his beloved boston terrier, Katy.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Minister Butch Jones and Rev. Doug Jordan officiating. Music provided by Connie Davis and Rev. Doug Jordan. Interment will follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Tyler Dillard, Drew Dillard, Kyle Godfrey, Josh Caldwell, Stacey Chastain and Chris Chastain. Honorary Pallbearers are all the men from the Williamstown United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 6-9pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Williamstown United Methodist Church Building Fund (PO Box 219, McCaysville, GA 30555).
