Lucinda's education laid the foundation for her successful career. She attended Richmond County Public Schools and graduated from Richmond Academy in Augusta, Georgia. Her thirst for knowledge led her to further her education at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia where she graduated with pride.

Lucinda's professional journey began with several years of dedicated service at the Anestia Association of Macon. Her commitment and strong work ethic earned her respect among her colleagues and made a lasting impact on the organization. Later, she joined Cherokee Culvert Company, where she continued to excel until her well-deserved retirement.

Beyond her professional achievements, Lucinda embraced a blessed personal life. In 1971, she married the love of her life, Lewis Stephen Jeter, and together they embarked on an extraordinary journey filled with love and companionship. They resided in Macon before moving to Newman for nine years and eventually settling down in Hiawassee in 1999. Their union thrived for an incredible 52 years and stood as a testament to their enduring commitment.

Lucinda was a kind-hearted soul who cherished her family deeply. She was preceded in death by her father Alvis Willis and mother Hazel Coleman Willis, as well as her sister Alivis Pickens. Their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved them dearly. Lucinda also leaves behind a devoted husband, Lewis Stephen Jeter, who mourns the loss of his beloved wife.
