Lucille R. Brackett

Mrs. Lucille R. Brackett, age 91 of Blairsville, passed away Tuesday March 13, 2018 at Union County Nursing Home. Mrs. Brackett was born June 17, 1926 in Cowpens, SC to the late George and the late Emma Payne Sawyer. Lucille was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Truett Brackett, Brother, Frank Sawyer, and sisters, Emille Sawyer, Ruby Jones, and Pauline Wilson.

Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Charles R. and Rachel Brackett of Blairsville, son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Vickie Brackett of Blairsville, granddaughters, Lori Hulsey and Rebecca Kendrick, and great grandchildren, Cheyenne Thomas, Kasey Hulsey, Kamden Kendrick, Kinsley Kendrick, Allyson Hulsey, and Michaella Hulsey.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, March 16, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of the Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville with Rev. Jerry Young and Rev. Kenny Beavers officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Delga Cox. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen have been requested to serve as pallbearers: Steve Wilson, Randolph Jones, Presley Rich, Levi Kendrick, Alan Hulsey and Wayne Roberts.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville, Thursday, March 15, 2018, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Flowers are gratefully accepted, however if you wish, in lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations may be made in Lucille's memory to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. box 665, Blairsville, GA 30514.
