Mrs. Lucile Lois Nicks, age 98, Eustis, FL, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Clay County Care Center. Mrs. Nicks was born September 28, 1919, in Beulah Fl., to the late Leldon Knox Reams and the late Kate Roberts Reams. She had moved to the Clay County area with her husband Charles in 1968. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She had been active with the Daughters Of The American Revolution and was an avid world traveler. Until the last few weeks before her death, she was knitting chemo caps for patients that were distributed by hospitals throughout the United States. Mrs. Nicks also knitted over 500 lap robes for veterans. She was preceded in death by husband, Charles Nicks.
Survivors include Children, Collette Brown, Diane Nicks and Charles (Melinda) Nicks, grandchildren, James R. Davidson, Brad A.(Dawn) Davidson, April M. Morris, numerous great-grandchildren also survive.
Private entombment will be Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 11:00 am at Shooting Creek Memorial Gardens.
