Louvendia Sue Weaver

December 18, 1965 — May 7, 2014

Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces funeral services for Mrs. Louvendia Sue Weaver, age 48, of Blairsville, who went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Louvendia was born on December 18, 1965, a daughter of Audrey Deyton and the late Ruby Deyton. She was a homemaker and had been a lifelong resident of Blairsville. A member of Corinth Baptist Church, Mrs. Weaver demonstrated her strong faith in Christ throughout her illness. During her 10 year battle with cancer, she often said that she was a winner either way - either she would overcome the cancer, or, if not, she would overcome the world, and go to heaven to be with Jesus!

Louvendia leaves her loving family members to treasure her memory, and to carry on in the strength of Christ: her husband, Boyd Weaver, of Blairsville; father and step-mother, Audrey and Evelyn Deyton, of Blairsville; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Caleb Bragg of Blairsville; daughter and son-in-law, Juliea and Jason Rich, of Blairsville; and son, Justin Weaver, also of Blairsville; three brothers, Don Deyton, of Blairsville; Danny Deyton, of Gainesville, Georgia, and Ryan Deyton, of Blairsville; grandchildren: Hayden Rich, Luke Bragg, and Ila Bragg. Many other relatives and many friends also survive.

Funeral services for Louvendia have been scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Don Deyton, Danny Deyton, Jason Rich, Terry Pickelsimer, James Weaver, and Tommy Lawson. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Blairsville. The family will meet with friends at Cochran Funeral Home in Blairsville on Friday evening, May 9, 2014, between the hours of 6 until 9 p.m.
