Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory announces the death and funeral services for Louise M. Sprayberry, age 71, of Blairsville, who passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 in Blairsville.
Mrs. Sprayberry was a native of Augusta, Georgia, and moved to Blairsville from Cornelia, Georgia in 1973. She was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church. Louise loved plants and had a degree in horticulture and in culinary arts from North Georgia Tech. Going camping and traveling were among her favorite things to do, and quilting was a favorite past time of hers. Louise will be remembered for how she loved her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchild; they were the center of her universe.
Louise will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but especially missed by her loving family members: husband, Gene, of Blairsville; son and daughter-in-law, Wade L. and Angel Sprayberry, of Blairsville; son and daughter-in-law, Kelly G. and Tracy Sprayberry, of Marietta, Georgia; a sister, Ellen Cook, of Oxford, Alabama; five brothers: Boyd Maddox of Eulaton, Alabama, Paul Maddox of Chino Valley, Arizona, Bobby Maddox, of Leeds, Alabama, Jimmy Maddox of Pell City, Alabama, and Randy Maddox, of Weaver, Alabama; five grandchildren: Nathan (Amanda) Sprayberry, Mallory Sprayberry, Kassy (Justin) Guffey, Selina Victoria, Michael Victoria, and great grandchild, Emma Guffey; aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends also survive.
Funeral services for Louise have been scheduled for Thursday, January 25, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., to be held at Harmony Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Karnes and Rev. Scotty Jarrard officiating. The body will lie instate at the church starting at 1:30 p.m. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Nathan Sprayberry, Michael Victoria, Ricky Rich, Jerry Rich, Jody Rich, and Bobby Rich. Burial will be in Union Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, from 5:00 p.m. until 8 p.m.
