Mrs. Lois J. White, age 78 of Murphy, NC, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Murphy Medical Center.
Mrs. White was born Monday, January 21, 1929 in Cook Co., IL to the late Edward and Caroline (Kammes) Yarmus. A member of Marble Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, She was preceded in death by daughter, Wanda W. Mills and son, Steven R. Vanderplow.
Survivors include: husband, William E. White, SR of Murphy, NC, son, Robert Vanderplow of Orland Heights, IL, daughter, Sharon A. Voltarel of Andrews, NC, daughter, Kathleen W. Anderson of Brasstown, NC, daughter, Helen N. Vanderplow of Asheville, NC, son, Roy E. Vanderplow of Cowpens, SC, son, Alan D. White of Montclair, NJ, son, William Edward White of Andrews, NC, fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 24 from the Marble Kingdom Hall with the Minister Leonard West officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to Marble Kingdom Hall c/o Leonard West, 98 Old Johnson Rd., Murphy, NC 28906.
