Mrs. Lizzie Grizzle, age 88 of Suches, GA, passed away Friday, May 9, 2008 her residences.

Mrs. Grizzle was born Monday, February 16, 1920 in Union County, Georgia to the late Henry Garrett and the late Mary Harkins Garrett. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and was preceded in death by husband, Grady Grizzle, daughter, Sharon Grizzle and sons, John Robert Grizzle and Calvin Grizzle, granddaughter, Diane Grizzle, brothers, Leford and Willard Garrett and sister, Hattie Bell Garrett.

Survivors include: daughter & son-in-law, Bertha and Jack Chambers of Murrayville, GA, son, Joe Grizzle of Dahlonega, GA, son, Charles Grizzle of Suches, GA, son & daughter-in-law, Ralph and Marie Grizzle of Cleveland, GA, daughter, Betty Grizzle of Suches, GA, son, Clyde Grizzle of Cleveland, GA, daughter, Lois Grizzle of Suches, GA, son & daughter-in-law, Marvin and Angie Grizzle of Cleveland, GA, son & daughter-in-law, Donald and Kathy Grizzle of Hiawassee, GA, son & daughter-in-law, David and Pam Grizzle of Cleveland, GA, son, Tony Grizzle of Suches, GA, daughter & son-in-law, Wanda and Butch Gilstrap of Cleveland, GA, daughter, Janell Grizzle of Suches, GA, sister and brother-in-law, Shelby and G.W. Jenkins of Bunell, FL, sister, Edith Bradford of Calhoun, GA, sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Johnny Abercrombie of Suches, GA, brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Sue Garrett of Blairsville, GA, sister, Essie Davis of Blairsville, GA, 26 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and two special grandchildren, Jackie Grizzle and Loretta Abercrombie.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 12, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Waymon Lovell, Rev. Marty Murphy, Rev. Dave Fortner and Rev. Rex Fuller officiating. Music will be provided by Joyce Kelley. Interment will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11.

The Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
