Linda Overton Verzinskie

Linda Gayle Overton Verzinskie, 69, of Roanoke, Virginia passed away on March 1, 2016.
Linda grew up in Roanoke County and graduated from Cave Springs High School in 1964. Employed then by Roanoke City Schools until 1966 when she began employment as a stewardess for American Airlines in 1968. After moving to Atlanta in 1969 she worked for both Clayton County and Fulton County Board of Education before returning to Roanoke upon retirement in 2008. Linda loved her family and also had a love for reading books and a good movie.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Edward Overton and Linda Mae Weddle Overton; and brother, James Edward Overton.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in–law, Brad and Shelby Verzinskie ; daughter, Stacy Verzinskie and granddaughter, Ansley Gutierrez.
A celebration of life memorial will be held at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Linda's memory.
