Linda King Beaver, age 66, of Blue Ridge, Georgia, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016.
Linda was born in Blairsville, Georgia, on September 25, 1949, a daughter of the late Vaughn King, Sr., and the late Margie Elliott King. She was a lifelong resident of our area and known as having one of the most kind and loving souls. Linda brought much joy to her community by always taking the time to stop and say "hello" and forming new friendships wherever she went. Linda didn't simply reside in Blue Ridge, but was a part of it, and certainly Blue Ridge will not be the same without her. She was an inspiration to many and loved by all.
Linda had a deep love for her Savior Jesus, and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Blairsville. Celebrating Christmas was very special to Linda. She enjoyed gathering with friends and family, exchanging gifts and held dear many other traditions. What was most important to her was celebrating the gift of Christ to the world.
Surviving family members are sister and brother-in-law, Minnie and Welchel Garrett; brother Vaughn King; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Paul Moss; and sister, Pauline Bridges, all of Blairsville; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Besides her parents, Linda had been preceded in death by two sisters: Christine Broome and Carolyn MaGaha; three brothers: James King, Hoyle King, and Harold King.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, January 27, 2016, to be held at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Blairsville, with Rev. Ray Potts officiating. Special music will be presented by Glen and Sheila Eller. Gentlemen requested to serve as honorary escort for the family are: Roger Garrett, Marty King, Trance King, Terry King, Ryan Garrett, Kyle Underwood, and Danny Moss. Burial will be in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will meet with friends on Wednesday, January 27th, starting at 11:00 a.m., before the service starts at 2:00 p.m.
The family would like to thank the countless people within the community who have lived and loved alongside Linda. The world is a better place because of you.
