Linda Lou Bailey (Allen)

The Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Linda Allen Bailey age 61 of Mineral Bluff who passed away Monday, September 5, 2011 at her home. She was a loving wife, mother and Nana. Linda was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father Ed E. Allen. Linda had worked the past 16 years at Wal-mart in Murphy. She had worked in various departments, the latest being a cashier. Linda always enjoyed seeing and talking with those who came in through her check-out lane.

Survivors include husband Glenn Bailey of the home, son, Tommy Bailey of Mineral Bluff, daughter, Kristin Bailey Tipton of Blue Ridge, grandson, Zachary Payne, granddaughters, Monica (Isaac) Hicks, Hannah Bailey, and Megan Bailey. Mother, Lucy Allen, sisters, Janice (John) Newton and Joyce (Grady) Ray. Nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services were Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Roy Clore, Reverend Doyle Davis and Reverend Lloyd Deal officiating. Music by Reverend Grady Ray and Reverend John Newton and the Deal family. Pallbearers were Zachary Payne, Jonathan Newton, Ed Cantrell, Lowell Thomas, Randy Deal, and Shannon Morgan. Interment followed in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
