Linda Fay Forth Davenport

Mrs. Linda Fay Forth Davenport, age 69, of Blairsville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 29, 2023.  Linda was born February 5, 1953 in Huntington, WV to the late Robert and Betty Forth.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law Ann; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Gene Chance; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Nadean Davenport.   She spent her childhood in Huntington, WV.  She met H.B. Davenport and after a short courtship they were married on May 25, 1976.  After living in West Virginia for a short time they moved to Blairsville, GA. She worked for 10 years at Orbit Manufacturing until they closed the Blairsville plant.

Surviving Mrs. Davenport are her husband of 47 years, H.B. Davenport; one brother, Danny of Huntington, WV; and two nephews, Donnie of NC and Jeremy of Huntington, WV; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws: Albert and Martha Davenport; J.L. and Nicole Davenport; Elmer and Sheri Davenport; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley and Ronnie McDonald.

Linda took great care of her dogs which she loved dearly.  She enjoyed working out in the yard and was an immaculate housekeeper.

Linda will always be loved and remembered dearly by everyone who knew her.  She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Graveside services have been scheduled for Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.,  be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Harold Underwood officiating.  The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Rex Rice, Boogy Davis, Brandon Anderson, Kevin Green, Kenny Jenkins, Daryl Allen, and Jean Ducre.  The following gentlemen are asked to serve as honorary escort to the family: Mark Mull, Doug Byers, Joe Cannoni, and Jeff Neal.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that anyone wishing to honor Linda give contributions to help defray expenses.
