Linda Dodge

June 8, 1939 — February 16, 2016

Linda Dodge, 76, of Morganton, died from cancer on February 16, 2016. Linda passed away at home peacefully and was surrounded by friends and her faithful dog, Ragan. She was born to Jack and Elberta Little in Cuthbert, GA in 1939. Later, after growing up in Virginia, Linda moved to California where she earned degrees in Physical Education and French. She was employed as a police dispatcher for the city of Alameda and also as a librarian. Linda moved to Fannin County in 2007 to live in the mountains. She was passionate about running and competed in dozens of races even as recent as two years ago. She was accomplished as a stained glass artist. Linda's greatest love was for her animals, especially her dogs. She leaves behind her cousins and many friends in the area. She was baptized in 2014 and was a member of the Fannin County Seventh Day Adventist Church. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, March 12 at 4:00 pm at the church which is located at 527 Forge Mill Rd, Morganton.
