Mrs. Lilly "Rozell" Jones, age 70 of Murphy, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012, at her daughter's home in Murphy. Mrs. Jones was born April 6, 1941, in Ozark, AR to the late Ewell Sutherland and Virgie Brown Sutherland.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and aunt who was loved by all. She enjoyed sewing, painting and canning food.
She was preceded in death by brother; Kenneth Sutherland, sisters; Judy Sutherland, Jo Ann Sutherland Thompson, niece; Cheryl Hampton Boyd.
Survivors include husband; John nie Ray Jones, daughters; Pam (Dwight) Lovingood, Kimberly (Charlie) McMillan and Shawna Dailey, grandchildren; Jared and Logan McMillan, nieces; Lynn Prater, Beth Kelly, Barbara Paris, Janice Jenkins, Karen Crowder, nephew; Stevie Thompson, aunts; Fay Elder and Violet Hancock, special cousin; Lucille Elder, a host of friends and love ones also survive .
Funeral services: Sunday, February 19, 2012, at 6:00 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Morrow, Rev. Robin Stiles and Rev. Calvin Murphy officiating. Music provided by: Barker Brothers. Interment will follow in Swanson Cemetery Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, 11:00AM. Pallbearers: Kevin Thomas, Varnell Jones, Stanley Wood, Claude Craig, Stan Morrow and Winston Jones. Honorary pallbearers: Dwight Lovingood, Charles McMillan, Jared McMillan, Logan McMillan, Jeff Jenkins, Kenneth Graham, Harold Ledford, Jim Weller, Anthony Mullinax, Paul Mullinax, James Helton, David Waldroup, Alvin Jones and Wade Simmons.
The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel of Murphy, Sunday, February 19, 2012, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
