Mrs. Lillian Eller Bradford, age 69 of Murphy, passed away peacefully at her home unexpectedly on February 26, 2014. She was a Cherokee County native and the daughter of the late Glenn Augustus and Lelia Hamby Eller. She was of Catholic faith. She thoroughly enjoyed being outside and tending her flower gardens before her health declined. The light of her life was her grandson, Rush.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Rush Bradford, one son, Hershel Hardin, six brothers and one sister.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph Hardin and John Hill; two grandchildren, Tamara and "lil Rush" Hill of the Home; one brother, Gary; three sisters; Di, Annette, Mel and their families.
A memorial service will be held Saturday March 8, 2014 at The Andrews Airport, officiated by Greg Huskins. Once the service is complete, Lillian and Big Rush will board a private plane and be flown over Cherokee, NC. where they will find their final resting places together. Rush's favorite thing was flying, hers was going to Harrah's in Cherokee. Finally, together again they'll be.
Following the service, there will be a time of reminiscing at the home of Kevin and Tracey Moore.
