Lewis Stover

Lewis Fred Stover, age 90 of Blue Ridge, passed away December 24, 2011 at Life Care Center of Copper Basin. Mr. Stover was born April 13, 1921 in Gilmer County GA to the late William "Bill" Messer and the late Nellie Stewart Stover. A member of Damascus Baptist Church. He was a bee keeper and enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and bird watching. He was preceded in death by , wife, Izora Early Stover.

Survivors include: daughter, Barbara Queen, daughter, Shirley Nichelson, son, Louie Buck Stover, son, William Olin Stover, son, Jerry Messer Stover, daughter, Carolyn Irene Beavers, son, Troy Lee Stover, daughter, Patricia Jane Robinson, son, Billy Dwight Stover, son, Bobby Reece Stover, son, Tommy Lynn Stover, son, Timothy Mark Stover, daughter, Mary Ann Stover, daughter, Vanessa Marilyn Stover, brother, Dennis Stover, brother, L.C. Stover, sister, Betty Greene, seventy grandchildren and great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glen Collis officating Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park. Pallbearers: Alan Nichelson, Tony Nichelson, Doug Stover, Jeremy Stover, Joshua Stover, Nathan Hughes, Jonathan Hall, Keith Allen. Honorary pallbearers: Wendell Allen, Johnny Montgomery, Jimmy Hopkins Jr., and David Darnell.

The family will receive friends at Henry Cochran Funeral Home, Monday, December 26, 2011 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm & Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
