Leonard Morris Verner

Leonard Morris Verner, age 94, of Mc Caysville, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021, at Pruitt Health Care. Mr. Verner was born August 11, 1926, in Isabella, TN, to the late Leonard A.Verner and the late Ethel Bell Verner. Morris attended McCaysville Church of Christ and was a salesman for Sears Home Improvement for many years. He loved cars, traveling, and spending time talking, helping, and spending time with people. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalee Verner, father, Leonard A. Verner, mother, Ethel Bell Verner, stepdaughter, Jo Lynn Krohn, brothers, Marvin and Jimmy Verner, half-brother, Elvin Denton, and granddaughter, Holly Ford.

Survivors include his step-daughter, Jerrie Crawford, brothers, Hoyt Verner, Lloyd Verner, and Delton Verner, sisters, Edith Ballew and Mildred Dickey, grandchildren, Tammy Knight, Toby Krohn, Tracy Krohn, and Paula Anderson, 8 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services: Sunday, February 21, 2021, at 3:00 PM from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Keith Ritchie officiating. Interment will be in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, February 21, 2021, from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM.
