Leon Taylor

Mr. Leon Taylor, age 64 of Andrews, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 30, 2010. Mr. Taylor was born April 12, 1946 in Cherokee County, NC to Bascombe and Hattie Martin Taylor. He was preceded in death by brother, Alvin Taylor, brother, Howard Taylor & sister, Janet Lance.
Mr. Taylor never met a stranger and loved to talk with everyone. He was proud to be a part of a family of 13 children and was an inspiration to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include: wife, Margaret Frieda Taylor, daughter & son in law, Teresa & David Ricks, daughter & son in law, Shalain & Travis Rogers, brother, Bascombe Taylor Jr., sister, Madlyn Wallace, sister, Lynnetta Iles, sister, Claudia Trotter, sister, Jodi Alverson, sister, Margie Taylor, sister, Becky Graves, sister, Kathryn Rogers, sister, Sandra Dockery, grandson, Brendlyn Phillips, granddaughter, Hayley Rogers, grandson, Logan Ricks & granddaughter, Brinklee Rogers.
The family will recieve friends at the funeral home Monday, August 2st from 12:00 noon -2:00pm.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 2, 2010 at 2:00PM from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Daniel Stewart officiating. Pallbearers will be; Jimmy & Nathan Iles, Shane Graves, Warren, Johnny & Johnny Jr. Ledford. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Michael Taylor, Brendlyn Phillips, Steve Haan & John Paul Graves.
