Leavie Ann Helton

Leavie Ann Helton, age 89, of Blue Ridge, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2007 at Fannin Regional Hospital. Leavie was born Saturday, July 28, 1917 in Fannin County Ga. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, enjoyed working in her flowers and canning. She was preceded in death by husband, Herman Helton, son and daughter in law Charles & Jessie Helton, son, Ralph Cole and daughter, Francess Roper.

Survivors include: granddaughter, Sherry Hamby of Culberson, granddaughter, Sharon Helton of Blue Ridge, granddaughter, Greta Shimpaugh of McCaysville, granddaughter, Belinda Ware of Culberson, great-granddaughter, Christy Shinpaugh, sister, Flossie Parr of Blue Ridge, sister, Junnie Russell of Blue Ridge, nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at 2:00PM from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Robert Botts and Reverend Gene Ware officiating. Music will be provided by Belinda Ware, Bryon Nicholson & Angie Conner. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Monday, June 4.
