Laverne Kathryn Pitts

Laverne Kathryn Pitts, age 92 of Mineral Bluff, passed away November 30, 2018, in Blue Ridge, GA. Pitts was born November 6, 1926, in Clayton, GA to the late Vergil Keener and the late Sally Keener. Mrs. Pitts moved to the area in 1986. A member of the Baptist faith, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Stewart Pitts, her son, Harold Pitts of McCaysville, GA, her daughter Barbara Gail Pitts, sister, Leta Murat, and her brother, Noland Keener. Mrs. Pitts was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include: son, Richard Lee (Ginny Edgar) Pitts of Mineral Bluff, GA; daughter & son-in-law, William Travis & Linda Diane Pattillo of Mineral Bluff, GA; daughter, Deborah McMillan of Mineral Bluff, GA; grandchildren, Joe Wood, Kathy Wood Gable, April Michelle Jones, Melissa Renee Ferguson, Kenneth Jackson, Robert Jackson, Ben Merck, Stephen Merck, Josh Merck, Ricky Barrier, Tammy Pitts Day, Kathryn Pitts McGregor, Mirinda Beasley, and Tammy Lowery.
