The Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville announces Funeral Services for Mrs. Launa Bell Frahm who passed away on July 17, 2019.
Ms. Launa B. Frahm, age 87, of Smyrna, GA passed away on July 17, 2019, after an extended battle with Congestive Heart Failure. Launa was originally from Union County Georgia. She moved to the metro-Atlanta area to attend the Georgia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. Upon graduation, she worked for many years as a Nurse then a Nursing Supervisor at Georgia Baptist Hospital. She was an avid gardener with an incessant desire to grow vegetables, fruits, and flowers. She also was an accomplished seamstress and taught many how to sew.
Ms. Frahm was second in line of 15 children being the oldest girl. She is preceded in death by her parents; Marie and William Dewey Walker, and brothers; Obra, Dan, and Johnny Walker. Launa is survived by children; Donna (Frahm) and Larry Mellen, David and Stacye Frahm, Daryl and Nancy Frahm, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Launa was a Christian and in her early years, spent many happy times with her church family at Roswell Street Baptist Church. Later in life, she enjoyed watching Roswell Street and a number of other religious television broadcasts.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 until the service begins.
A local Graveside Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.
