Larry Payne

Larry Walter Payne, age 72 of Andrews, went home to be with the Lord and his heavenly family Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Murphy Medical Center. He was born April 2, 1941, in Murphy, NC to the late Fred W. Payne and Julia Stiles Payne of Marble.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Lois Payne, Robert Payne, Virgie P. Rowland, and Ralph E. Payne, son- in- law Gerald Cooper and three infant grandchildren. He was a member of Valleytown Baptist Church and had retired from Baker/Magnavox after 29 years of service.

Survivors include: wife of 52 years, Dorothy Freeman Payne, daughters, Katherne P. Cooper and Kim P. (Junior) McGaha all of Andrews, grandchildren, Tiffany M. (Micheal) Enloe, Tim (Robin) McGaha and Shane Cooper all of Andrews.sisters, Betty P. Wilson, Geneva P. Gibby and Linda P. Rowland all of Marble brother, Jack (Colleen) Payne of Marble, sister in law Christine H. Payne of Andrews and his pup, Buster.
Larry would have been a great grandpa to his first great grandson Issac Enloe born April 28, 2013. .

Funeral services: Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 4:00 pm at the Valleytown Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Homer Wilson and Pastor Jerry Luther officiating. Eulogy's by Mike Allison and Jerry Luther. Interment followed in Moss Cemetery. Pallbearers: Dewayne Payne, Carol Payne, Jeff Green, Tony Wilson, Gary Rowland and Mike Wilson. Honorary pallbearers: Carroll Payne, Dewayne Payne, Darrin Payne, Billy Rowland, David Rowland, Jeff Green, Jack Ball, Garry Needham, Jerry Luther and all of Larry's nephews.
