Lane Elizabeth Falls, age 59, of Morganton, passed away July 15, 2020, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. Mrs. Falls was born June 23, 1961, in Copperhill, TN, to the late James Merle Mashburn and Flora Belle Mashburn. She was a member of Hemptown Baptist Church and worked until her retirement as a Customer Service Representative and Manager for 1st Franklin Financial. She was a faithful disciple of God. Her heart's wish was for all her family, friends, and strangers alike to accept Jesus, so one day, over yonder, everyone will have a great reunion day. Lane enjoyed working with flowers, traveling, and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, James Merle Mashburn and her sister-in-law, Pamela Mashburn. 2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." Isaiah 43: 1 "But now, this is what the Lord says - fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine."
Survivors include her husband, Ken Falls, mother, Flora Belle Mashburn, son, Mark Falls, daughter, Amanda (Jason) Ware, sisters, Carla Garland and Holly (Andy) Bates, brother, Christopher Merle Mashburn, sisters-in-law, Ruth Davis, Joyce Allen, and Brenda (Jerry) Painter, brother-in-law, Mackey (Debbie) Falls, grandchildren, Emilee (Cole) Falls Chambers, Kaleighann Ware, Elijah Falls, and Jake Ware. Nieces, nephews, and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral services: Sunday, July 19, 2020, at 3:00 pm Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel of Blue Ridge with Rev. David Whitner and Rev. Eric Davenport officiating. Music provided by Robert Buchanan, Brian Huffman, and the Stanley Family. Interment will follow in Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Aaron Garland, Corey Garland, Levi Bates, Jerry Painter, Mackey Falls, and Merle Long. Honorary pallbearers: Emilee Chambers, Cole Chambers, Kaleighann Ware, Jake Ware, Elijah Falls, and Davita Dialysis staff.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge Saturday, July 18, 2020, from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
