Rev. Kreed Edward Bright, age 82, of Hiawassee, GA passed away November 2, 2009 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home in Hiawassee, GA.
Rev. Bright was born on December 5, 1926 in Swain Co., NC, to Thomas and Mary Earls Bright. He was a member of Independent Church, and had been a preaching for 47 years. Rev. Bright was preceded in death by wife, Lerlia Astilee Bright.
Survivors include: son & daughter-in-law, Roger & Patsy Bright of Conyers, GA, son, Ronnie Bright of Hiawassee, GA, son, Danny Bright of Scottsdale, GA; daughter and fiance, Carolyn Jordan and Ray Insley of Hiawassee, GA daughter & son-in-law, Joyce & Larry Grayson of Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren Jeff Jordan, Larry Bright, Kim Bright, Jocelyn Newell, Jeremy Bright and Paul Grayson, great grandchildren, John Mason Bright, Travis Carter Bright, Taylor Jordan and Chase Jordan.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Mt Pleasant Church of God (old church) with Rev. Glenn Eller and Rev. Jarvis Bennett officiataing. Music will be provided by Lacy and Tony Ford, Pat and Mondy Montieth, Diane Kent and Golda Schubert. Pallbearers will be Hearl Bright, Luke Bright, Bobby Wilson, Jody Anderson, Wayne Bright, Mondy Montieth. The body will lie instate at the church from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Macedonia Baptist Cemetery.
The family will recive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m..
