Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces the death and funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Frank Jenkins, age 80, native and lifelong resident of Blairsville, Georgia, who passed away on Tuesday, October 6th, 2020 at his home.
Kenneth was a son of the late Charlie Jenkins and the late Eve Souther Jenkins, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Kenneth was a well-known real estate agent in this area, and enjoyed dealing in real estate. He loved to hunt and loved his bulldozer. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ella Battle; and two brothers, Charles Jenkins and Ed Jenkins.
Surviving family members include his companion, Betty Rhodes; daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Mark Vaughn; son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Glenda Jenkins; daughter, Lori Jenkins and fiance Rodney Moose; two sisters: Patricia Chambers (Bobby) and Marilyn Thomasson; two sisters-in-law: Bonnie Jenkins and Bennie Jo Jenkins; Grandchildren: Luke Chatham, Kole Jenkins, Jessica Key, and Noelle Vaughn; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Thursday, October 8th, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., to be held in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Blairsville, with Rev. Billy Rabern officiating. Special music will be presented by Kathy Gregory. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Luke Chatham, Kole Jenkins, Jonah Daniel, Slade Rowan, Crawford Colwell, and Candler Colwell. Selected to serve as honorary escort to the family: Glenn Hamby, Roy Rose, Eugene Pope, Glendon Gooch, and Roy Hamby. Burial will be in Union Memory Gardens Cemetery with military right performed by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, October 7th, between the hours of 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
