Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville announces the death of Mrs. Kathy Karen Gales, age 73 of Blairsville who passed away on Saturday September 19th, 2020.
Mrs. Gales was born on October 16th, 1946 in Bay City, MI to her late parents William and Marilyn (Williams) Broderick. Kathy came to Blairsville to care for her mom, Marilyn Broderick during her final year. She loved living Here so much she decided to stay after her mother passed away. Kathy was of the Christian faith, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Blairsville. She enjoyed crocheting and had a real love for bunny rabbits.
Kathy is survived by her daughters, Michele McGee and Andrea Gooderham; stepchildren, Charles Lee Gales and Annette Lynn (Gales) Whitman; siblings, Robin DeYoung, Katrina Hourihan, and Kenny Broderick; 6 grandchildren, James, Kara, Dustin, Derek, Mikayla, and
Tiffany; 1 great-grand, Carter.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Women on Mission at the First Baptist Church of Blairsville.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville.
