Mrs. Katherine P. "Kay" Maier, age 83, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Monday, September 7, 2009 in Union General Hospital in Blairsville.
Mrs. Maier was born on Friday, February 19, 1926, in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Leslie Pinkerton and Frances Pringle Pinkerton. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Winter Park, Florida. Mrs. Maier had been preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oliver "Ollie" Maier; and a son, Rick Maier.
Surviving family members include son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Cindy Maier, of Dawsonville, Georgia; grandchildren and their spouses: Ansley Maier LeBlanc and Mark LeBlanc, of Apex, North Carolina; Jason and Jennier Maier, of Blairsville; Jesse and Michelle Maier, of Titusville, Florida; Erika Maier Hailes and Brandon Hailes, of Woodstock, Georgia; and Audra Maier Meeker and Randy Meeker, of Blairsville; many other relatives and friends also survive.
Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, September 26th at 2:00 p.m. from Brannan Lodge with Rev. Travis Adams officiating
