Karen Marie Dove

Karen Marie Dove age 55 of Decatur, GA passed away Monday, February 12, 2018. Karen was born June 12, 1962 in Tacoma, WA to the late Fredrick Dove and Marilynn Wigdohl Dove. Karen entered the US Navy directly after high school and served active duty for 20 years, retiring as an E-6 Petty Officer First Class. After working various jobs she pursued her hobby of video production and photography for BBQtv with her partner Marc Farris. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends and family. She will be greatly missed by her family and the BBQ community.

She is survived by her mother, Marilynn Dove, son, Stephen (Stephanie) Louda, son, Brian (Karen) Jezewski, daughter, Staci Jezewski, six grandchildren, Zachary, Elizabeth, Nicole, Nick, Logan and Leia and partner, Marc Farris.

A gathering of friends and family will be held Sunday, March 4, 2018 at the DeKalb Senior Center, 1346 McConnell Dr., Decatur, GA 30033 starting at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Operation BBQ Relief (operationbbqrelief.org). Military Honors will be provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
