Mrs. Karen Elaine Kilbourne-Norris, age 59, of Blairsville, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017 in Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Karen was born in Demorest, Georgia, a daughter of Thomas and Ann Leonard. She and her husband moved to Blairsville from Loganville six years ago. Karen was a very spiritual, family-oriented Christian lady, who looked forward to her devotionals each day. Karen enjoyed traveling, and coming back to her mountain home, gardening, and her two fuzz-babies, Bentley and Abby. Karen was a big fan of Alabama's Crimson Tide, and was always their biggest cheerleader. Karen's favorite shows to watch on TV were NCIS, and almost anything on the Hallmark Channel. In her free time, she enjoyed crossword puzzles and listening to music, especially Christian Contemporary Music. Karen leaves behind a very loving family: husband, Jack Norris, of Blairsville; her parents, Thomas and Ann Leonard, of Commerce; son, Richard Norris, of Jonesboro, Georgia; step-sons: Christopher Norris, of Spring Hill, TN; Tony Norris and his wife Theresa, of Loganville, Georgia; and daughter, Kelly West and her husband, Terry, of Spring Hill; Sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Wayne Lusk, of Commerce; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Tim Wilson, of Mansville, Georgia; and brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Sonseriae Leonard, of Cumming, Georgia; step-grandchildren: Jessica and Michael Bulson, Terry West, Jr., and Brittney West; five nephews: Christian and Nate Leonard, and Dustin Lusk, Dwayne Kilbourne and Matthew Wilson; two nieces: Natasha Lusk and Amanda Lehney; several aunts and uncles, and many other relatives and her many friends at Trackrock Campground also survive. Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., to be held in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Blairsville. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as honorary pallbearers: Larry Cheek, Sid Bennett, Frank Alexander, John Roberts, Christian Leonard, Nate Leonard, Matthew Wilson, Dustin Lusk, Dwayne Kilbourne, and Mike Folkerts. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, June 16, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory.
