Judith Eileen Abernathy

Judith Eileen Abernathy, age 64 of Blue Ridge, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. Mrs. Abernathy was born December 19, 1953 in Seattle, WA to the late Charles E. Townsend and Mary Lou Williams. Judith was an award winning artist and crafter. Her works included beautifully detailed paintings, masquerade masks and dolls. She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include husband, Joseph Abernathy, daughter, Debbie Robinson, daughter, Susie (Noori) Al-Maliky, son, Greg Abernathy, two brothers, Robert Townsend and Jeff Townsend, two sisters, Roberta Williams and Jenny Williams, and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 3 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Saturday, December 8, 2018 after the service from 4-6 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Eastern Star Ellijay Chapter #340 (212 Oak Ridge Lane, Ellijay, GA 30536).
