Mrs. Juanita Vivian Collins, age 87 of Morganton, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Collins was born October 20, 1925 in Ducktown, TN to the late Emory Guthrie and Alice Smith Guthrie. A member of the Morganton Baptist Church Cemetery, she was preceded in death by husband, Leslie Collins, and sons, Eddie & Raymond Collins.
Survivors include: son, Carl (Rose Mary) Collins, son, Jim (Shirley) Collins, son, Bill (Vivian) Collins, daughter-in-law, Darlene Collins Lewis, brother, Mark Marlar, 4 grandsons, 7 granddaughters, 12 great-granddaughters, and 5 great-grandsons.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Postell officiating. Music provided by Rhett and Chuck Panter. Interment will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Kevin Collins, William Collins, Chuck Panter, Michael Collins, Mitchell Tipton and Tommy Payne. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Payne, Josh Ledford, Paul Greene, Jr., and Reece Panter.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
