Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces funeral services for Mrs. Juanita Rich Fair, age 84, native and lifelong resident of Blairsville, Georgia, who passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in Union General Hospital in Blairsville.
Mrs. Fair was born in Blairsville on March 14, 1929, a daughter of the late Elbert Rich and Bonnie Jackson Rich. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Juanita loved everyone, and was a friend to all. Never complaining about anyone or anything, Juanita just loved to take care of others. She possessed a true servant's heart, and had the ability to know what everyone needed usually before they knew! She made it her life's mission to take care of everyone else's needs. Juanita loved to provide for her family, and that included cooking special meals. She was a true animal lover, and made pets out of every kind of animal - domestic and wild. She regularly fed deer that would come into her yard. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Dexter Fair; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Rich; her son-in-law, David Cox; and two sisters, Geneva Nicholson and Lorene Holbrooks.
Mrs. Fair leaves her loving family members to treasure her memory and to carry on her legacy: daughter, Vickie Cox, of Blairsville; sister, Jimmye Kimsey, of Blairsville; a granddaughter and her husband, Kristin and Chris Collins, of Blairsville; great granddaughter, Lilly Collins and great grandson, Hudson Collins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fair have been scheduled for Sunday, February 16, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Blairsville, with Rev. Don Hood officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Dexter.
