Juanita Barnes Price, age 68, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2009 at her home in Morganton following an extended illness.
Juanita was born on December 9, 1940 in Fannin Co., GA, to the late Ishmael and Rosa "Belle" Roper Barnes. She was a member of the Mineral Bluff Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, George Gleason Price.
Survivors include: loving and devoted daughter Patricia Whitaker of Morganton, GA, loving friend and companion, Donald Turner of Morganton, grandchildren, Gregg and Dawn (Gazaway) Jameson; Richard and Heather Gazaway; great grandchildren, Teeghan Jameson, with the anticipated arrival of great grandchild Skylar Grace Gazaway, Siblings include Ellen (Barnes) and husband Evan Underwood of Smyrna, Jackie (Barnes) Ginn of Woodstock , Keith and wife Brenda Barnes of Blue Ridge. Neices and nephews, Jerome and Brean Underwood, Sheryl and Stephen Taylor, Angel Ginn and Lee Rusk, Michelle and Dale Green, Amanda and Jason Eavenson, and special neice, Jodi Hughes. Great neices and nephews include Chase and Chasity Green, Holden and Banks Eavenson and Evan Underwood, Donald Turners children, Greg, Becky and Crystal
Funeral services will be held , Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev.Jim Crews officiataing. Burial will follow in the Toccoa Baptist Church Cemetery.
The following will serve as pallbearers, Jason Eavenson, Jerome Underwood, Gregg Jameson, Greg Turner, Matthew Kerry and Lee Rusk.
The family will recive friends at the funeral home Friday and Saturday evening 6 till 9 PM.
