Mr. Juan Wilburn Garrett, better known as "J.W.", age 84, native and lifelong resident of Suches, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Garrett was born in Suches on November 19, 1928, a son of the late John Wilburn Garrett and the late Victoria Seabolt Garrett. He was a carpenter and worked building houses. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Suches.
Family members left to treasure his memory are his wife, Ruby Lovell Garrett, of Suches; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Sabrina Garrett, of Suches; grandson, Nathan Garrett; three sisters: Napper Moose, Lillian Cain, and Grovie Warren; two brothers, Cline Garrett and Monroe Garrett, all of Suches; many other relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside services for the family were held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Suches, with Rev. George Burch and Rev. Rudy Tribble officiating.
