Joyce Hughes Thomas

Mrs. Joyce Hughes Thomas, age 73 of Copperhill, passed away June 2, 2016 at the Copper Basin Medical Center. Mrs. Thomas was born December 10, 1942 in Copperhill, TN to the late Aden Hughes and the late Nola Bell Hughes. She was Baptist in faith. She was a loving homemaker that loved to cook, knit and crochet. She also enjoyed baking cakes.

Survivors include sons, Barry (Beth) Thomas, Larry (Beth) Thomas, and Gary (Melissa) Thomas, daughter, Sheri (Keith) Cheatham, eight grandchildren, Brandon Thomas, Amelia Fisher, Bradley Thomas, Jennifer Cheatham, Michael Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Brianna Thomas and Tyler Gibson, nine great-grandchildren, Connor Fisher, Alicia Cheatham, Brady Thomas, Levi Thomas, Annelise Conner, Allie Thomas, Kinsley Thomas, Teagan Thomas and Bently Thomas, and one step-great-grandchild, Jayden Miller.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Parris officiating and music by Benny Pickelsimer. Interment will follow in the Kingtown Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Barry Thomas, Larry Thomas, Gary Thomas, Bradley Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Tyler Gibson and Bryan Cheatham.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 6-9 pm.
