Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Crump Tanner, age 88, of Blairsville, who passed away on Wednesday evening, September 5th, 2018 in Stonehenge Senior Living in Blairsville.
Mrs. Tanner was born in Blairsville, and was a daughter of the late Frank Crump and the late Carrie Lovell Crump. Mrs. Crump lived in the Atlanta area for 55 years before moving back to Blairsville. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Snellville, and loved Jesus with all of her heart! Joyce will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who loved to laugh and hug her loved ones. Besides her parents, she had been preceded in death by her husband, Jack Tanner, and a daughter, Jackie Zastrow.
Surviving family members left to carry on Joyce's legacy of love are: daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Alan Young, of Blairsville; son, Kenny Tanner, of Columbia, Tennessee; and son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Jody Tanner of Loganville, Georgia; brother, J.D. Crump, of Griffin, Georgia; and sister, Billie Joan Cardot, of Blairsville; five grandchildren: Jeremiah Zastrow, Stefanie Garrity, Brandon Townley, Apryll Saunders, and Carmen Tanner; and 10 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., to be held in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville. Burial will be held at a later date in Eternal Hills Cemetery in Snellville.
Visitation at the funeral home will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Joyce has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus. She lived the last few years of her life loved and cared for by the wonderful staff at Stonehenge Senior Living.
